Assume they just gonna roll with Urias and Shaw on left side full time. I'm not real high on Urias as doesn't feel like he ever gonna be much at the plate.

I was admittedly a fan of the Urias trade but he seems to also be a dead prospect unless suddenly his power develops. That said, it was redundant to have two guys that cannot hit over there.

I think they held onto both to see if one would breakthrough. Neither did so they went with the cheaper guy. We badly need a SS and 3B.

I'm guessing they'll go straight to the Arizona lab.

Jedd Gyorko is still out there as a FA. 3B platoon?

Also there is still a small chance (and the door is closing really fast) that Urias breaks out. He needs to hit the ball harder/farther to ever be a decent hitter but I guess it could still happen. Unless there was a mechanical change that Arcia was missing as Segura had when he left town, he is what he is.

They'll probably go with Robertson for that but if Hiura keeps being an abortion they might option him to the alternate site and sign someone like Gyorko who could play 1st too.

The number 12 prospect in braves system? not bad. he's now probably the number 2 prospect in the brewers org. thats a haul.

I was pretty down on Urias last season, but he' showed a little more pop in spring training. He's never going to be a 20-homer guy, but he could settle in in the low teens with a decent on-base percentage and good defense.

Defense was always one of the more disappointing aspects of Orlando. Even if he didn't hit, it seemed like he'd be a Gold Glover. Never really even got close to that level.

Yeah, the HR total shouldn't matter a ton but it should correlate with his effectiveness.

If he can't hit the ball hard enough or far enough, his hit tool we were expecting him to have at some point doesn't really matter since it is hard to drop them in with no power.

You could at least accept Arcia's offensive limitations if he wasn't such a disappointment defensively. You need to have near-gold-glove level defense to justify that lack of offensive production. And he started so promisingly on the offensive end - that .277/.342/15 HR output as a 22 year old - only to regress with his glove and his bat. And now we're dealing him for a couple of lotto tickets.

Just a disappointment all around.

He's the #17 prospect w/ the brewers now.

That's odd... Don't the braves have a middle of the pack farm system while the brewers have a bottom five ? Logic would dictate their 12th rated player is better than brewers... Still would rather have these two than arcia.

Not necessarily, maybe the Brewers have better depth. The Braves however have a couple of guys in the top 15 in MLB and at least three more top 100.
