Wow, Gabe Gross is our spark plug today...Maybe that is why nothing has really been ignited.

I'll be optimistic and say that Prince may homer here but there will be no way we actually get the 3rd run to tie this thing.

Bob: "The 1-1 pitch. Outside for Ball 1"

Oofda

Bob: "It's funny when a team that is struggling on offense struggles at the same time."

Boy, it's hilarious.

Braun is good for stat-inflating homers in the 9th and Jenkins/Dillon have gotten some hits in the 9th for us in the past few weeks...

Here's to hoping we get anything going at all

Bill Hall is good for meaningless solo home runs, any chance he can get up there and knock one out that will mean nothing?

I won't complain with Villy coming in for his 2nd inning of work and giving up that HR to Berkman and getting in trouble. I don't understand that Spurling came in to allow all those inherited runs to score.

Then on Tuesday, Cappy gets into a jam and we go to Parra, because Ned is more worried about a long reliever eating up 3 or 4 innings than getting out of the jam and remaining in the game.

If Yost uses Linebrink in the fifth, doesn't he get roasted if we need him in the eighth and we've already used him?

I hear what you're saying, though...

Unless we win, f it.

At this point I'd rather Isringhausen just get me a fantasy save.

Heard some groans after Fielder struck out last inning, some really loud groans after Braun struck out with the bases juiced.

Strikeout turns into a base runner.

I know, I know...it's hindsight. Yost seems to manage on the save up now and reap the rewards later whereas a lot of managers I see use their resources now and figure out to win it later. Ned likes to use his less effective pitchers/pinch-hitters early and often so that his bench studs will be available for him later. Usually, and especially as of late, there really is no later because we are getting blown out.
