I'd call that a successful inning for Woody. Very impressive.

Good job Woody

Anxious to see Henderson go today. He's become pretty important.

Could be worse for Myers, although as we know with Braun, its tough to shake oblique problems

Henderson didn't look too sharp. A couple walks and a double. Didn't throw a breaking ball for a strike from what I could tell.

I'm a little confused how a healthy vet like Quintana won't be ready. He wasn't that late arriving to camp and I would assume he would have had a throwing routine going since he planned on playing this season.

I get it's a long season and no need to risk anything at this point it's just a little confusing given the circumstances.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

There's an off day in NY. His regular rest (4 days) would have him pitching game 5 on April 1. I can see giving him an extra day though.

I was coming to post the same thing. He signed March 5th and was presumably on his own throwing program to stay in shape while waiting to sign. How he wouldn't be ready to make a start for us in that second series of the season I don't quite understand.

I doubt he did any serious throwing as a free agent, if he did any throwing at all. He wouldn’t risk an injury. He was waiting for a team to pay him to throw.

If Turang is out opening day, what is our infield? Ortiz at SS, Durbin at 2B, and Dunn at 3B? Capra possibly in play? Looks like Durbin had a mediocre spring.

Is Tyler Black making the team? Saw his numbers… oooof.

With the Yanks starting a lefty I'd guess we'd see Durbin, Ortiz, & Capra start
