I love this thread.

Braun to 2nd would be not so good. Can you imagine him trying to turn a DP? He’d be out for months after the first time trying. Inter coastal something something.

I mean, we can't really stop now. Not that I am exactly sure what would be next, but so far it is good, just not enough unless they think we are using ML talent to fill out the pitching staff.

Anyone think Lohse or Suppan are still available?!?!?

Besides Darvish and Arrieta, who is available?

Cobb or Lynn. After that, while I wouldn’t hate some 1 year risk if they truly believed in someone, the market is trash.

Preference would be Lynn first then Darvish. Still want nothing to do with Arrieta.

So with all this shuffle in the outfield...I completely forgot about Corey Ray. What happens to him?

Yep

If he comes back earlier than expected, but has say permanent loss of velocity and thus no longer is the pitcher he was last year, it's a big loss to the team.

He's probably 2 years away yet and hasn't shown much, I wouldn't worry about it

Well, these next few days will be interesting. If they don't move Santana, I wonder if he could play first. Braun is a better OF.

In a vacuum yeah Braun is the better fielder but I think Yelich is best suited for LF so with Braun you either need to move him back to RF or play Yelich at a less than ideal position. Is Braun a better RF than Domingo? Getting to the ball I would say yes but Domingo does have a good arm. It's kind of annoying that Domingo isn't better in the field because he's got a good arm and isn't slow he just had bad instincts. Without seeing them do it it's just a guess but I think Braun would be the better 1B of the two of them having played infield as a youngster.

Heck even if the trade Santana I hope they play Braun at 1st some and give Phillips a shot in RF.

I'd guess agular gets flipped for a lotto ticket in the next couple weeks.

My buddy met Lynn 3 years ago, said he was the biggest douche. Said Milwaukee sucked because there wasn't any good pussy and kept butting into his convo he had with Garza and was stunned my buddy didn't know who he was off looks, he said Garza was super cool at least. Lol

I recall reading somewhere that Houston tried numerous times to move Santana to 1B when he was in the minors and the results were not very good whatsoever. FWIW.

I have a hard time believing Braun makes some of the plays Sogard and Villar made at second last year

Same thing that happened to victor Roache, Jed Bradley, Taylor Jungman, and Clint Coultier.

First round picks are crap shoots. Most of them fail.

Doesn't look like Domingo has ever played anything other than OF, looking at his minor league fielding stats.

Yeah I'm not really sure where the notion that the Stro's tried him at 1st comes from. I did some googling and couldn't even find any old articles or anything on this. Hell they played him in CF some so they at some point didn't mind his D in the OF. Now I'm not so sure if he would be a good 1B because some of his lack of instincts fielding in general could carry over there. If I had to bet on who would be better at 1st I would put my money on Braun. He's at least fielded ground balls before and if I remember correctly his major problem at 3rd was wild throws.

I wouldn't say better but wouldn't lose anything replacing Santana with Braun in RF. Braun is a better LF than RF but Santana is bad in RF and while Santana's arm is strong he isn't real accurate and Braun's arm is decent as well. Overall would still prefer Santana over Braun but that ship obviously left the summer of 2016.

Step 1: Corey Ray gets WAY better
Step 2: Brewers think about what to do with him
