I hope Cameron gets called up and untucks like his dad did to piss off the Cards and their fans.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Won't be surprised if Priester makes his one start out of necessity and then goes straight to AAA.

Given what we gave up for him, the current injuries, and the fact that they aren't calling up guys like Henderson and Rodriguez, I'll be surprised if Priester doesn't stay in the rotation unless he's just awful. First start at Colorado isn't ideal.

Well then I really don't like Law calling the new pitchers fastball 'batting practice'

Hopefully the lab can Tobias Meyers him into a decent starter.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Priester reportedly scrapped his 4 seam FB and now throws both a sinker and a cutter

His usage in 2024 was: Sinker 30%, Slider 28%, Curve 15%, 4-Seam 14%, Change 13%, Cutter 1%.

Yea, the Brewer Fanatic podcastbwent over this pretty well. He added a cutter over the offseason and his sinker is getting more run than it did previously and he's essentially completely scrapped throwing the 4 seamer ever

Arnold’s comments lead me to believe they think they just traded for a misused gem. But of course that is what he has to say, butttt when you looked at what they paid up for him, they clearly thought they got something special

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Believe he started last season with similar MVP like numbers but by the end of the season was a sub 700 OPS etc. Hopefully the eventual fall off is not as steep.

I'm taking a guess here, but maybe front office sees him as the next Corbin Burnes. Burnes 4-Seam was getting rocked before he switched to Cutter and Sinker. Burnes also had a Slider and Curve.

This is wild, and it's different because of the kind of prospective player Chourio is, but it also reads like that Thaddeus Young graphic with Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Larry Bird.

Great to see Woody out there. Velocity isn't all the way back, but he did finish the first inning with a fastball strikeout at 94 mph.
