Two ESPN writers came up with deals around Burnes, Adames, or Woodruff.

Deal #1:
Phillies get Woodruff and Adames
Brewers get Andrew Painter RHP (#1) or Mick Abel RHP (#2), Bryson Scott SS (2021 #2), and Rhys Hoskins 1B.

Deal #2
Phillies get Burnes
Brewers get Kevin Parada C (#3), Mark Vientos 1B/DH (#7)

Deal #1 is fair on both sides, the Brewers get absolutely screwed in deal #2. Burnes is isn't going to the Mets unless Alvarez is coming back.

I don't really get this one. Neither of these guys were good last year. Wouldn't it have made more sense to just let wong walk and use the cash elsewhere?

If Winker bounces back maybe they flip him at the deadline.

Also upon googling Winker the first results were how there was some kind of rift between him and the Mariners over his attitude and work ethic.....

From Baseball Reference for Winker--

Similar Batters through 28
1. Kevin Mench (970.5)
2. Jeffrey Hammonds (968.0)

Two legends

Replacing one malcontent (Renfroe) with another is a bold strategy

Also, not a money saving move, Winker is making $8.25 million and according to Passan we're kicking in the $1.75 million difference between his and Wong's salary.

Honestly, Winker will probably be the Brewers best bat now that he's back in the Central.

A year from now we're gonna be in the same spot, coming off a .500ish season. Only then we'll get less for for Burnes, Woody, and Adames.

I don’t believe for a second the Brewers are not listening on any player.

Sounds like the medical are not the usual formality here. Neck surgery seems not great.

If Nightingale is saying Burnes and Woody are off limits, then they're for sure getting traded.
