I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

At least the Bears have a very legit shot this season to ease this pain, but I doubt it'll happen because my sports existence is futile

Best part, she's a huge sports fan. So when the Brewers plunge back to reality, I'll have Jessica Alba there to console me.

Believe it or not but my roommate and I were furious with Ned Yost's decision in the 7th BEFORE Linebrink threw a single pitch. But it wasn't because he took out Suppan. It was because he didn't put in Shouse.

Linebrink has been god awful over the past week, while Shouse has been red hot. We were incredulous to see Linebrink pitching in the 7th and our anger grew and grew as he kept giving up hit after hit without Yost yanking his ass out. So what happens instead? Shouse is put into the game in the 9th and right on cue he strikes out all 3 batters. 3 up - 3 down. Afterwards my roommate sent me this e-mail before heading off to bed:

Regarding Shouse. Did anybody find it funny that FSN put up his inherited runners stranded stat when he opened the inning and nobody was on base?

Interesting point on brewerfan.net. Thinking about it I can't say I disagree with his point.

HOF4canrake wrote:Apparently, Yost made up his mind that if one guy gets on base, Suppan is out. However, pulling Suppan for letting one pitch get away is equal to yanking him because a defender made an error on a routine play. If Floyd would hit a weak grounder and someone boots it, no way should you punish Soup. Had he hung a curve or laid a fastball down the middle and Floyd ripped it, fine, maybe he's done.

Not the way things have been going for us. I don't like Yost but had he left Suppan in, you can bet he would have been lit up too. Whatever moves Yost make lately, none of them work.

He should have put Shouse in instead of Linebrink...
