I definitely don't follow the Brewers close enough to know about various memes.

Ashby's results don't always match his stuff. Wow is his stuff nasty though.

This would be a good game for Miz. See if you can get him some confidence. Maybe the 9th when you hopefully get more of the bottom of the order and still have a big lead.

Why burn him up when you are up 9-1?

My issue is more him not finishing off a good performance

Collins has looked comfortable at the plate, but he was still weirdly confused when judging a fly ball earlier in the game. Not sure why he's had so much trouble there lately.

Need Miz in the 9th with at least a 6 run lead. If you can't trust him in that situation, he shouldn't be on the roster.

So gratifying to provide an object lesson about the loneliness of the solo home run.

The way they used the bullpen today suggests the following:

A) They wanted to tune up some important relievers, but were reluctant to use the two most important ones.
B) Misiorowski, Patrick, and Gasser - all of whom were starters more often than relievers during the season - are probably being saved for multi-inning relief roles in games 2 and/or 3. All hands on deck with a short leash for Priester and Quintana.

I wouldn't bet a dime that Chourio will be back for a potential NLCS, let alone more of this series, but the rule about missing the next postseason series if you get hurt and get replaced on the roster spot is pretty damn punishing in cases like this.

Under no circumstances do I want to use a precious roster spot on a player who's not 100% available just because I hope to have him for a future series that is far from guaranteed to happen. If they had a 2-0 series lead and Chourio's injury was deemed a day-to-day thing, I'd consider it, but I'd be reluctant even then. Don't take anything for granted.

I'm hoping this is gamesmanship (unlikely)

Maybe a little classiest of me, but you would expect that more by some drunk in the bleachers or upper deck, not $750(?) seats.

Chourio said he feels good and said leaving was precautionary.

Still holding my breath but obviously extremely positive. Chourio mashing to start the game was a huge confidence booster for the team down 1-0

I think Chourio said the same thing before he missed a month
