Nashville is a fun team to watch now. In addition to the OF's you've got Keston, Turang, and Feliciano. Reetz is bonkers this season. We'll see what Ruiz can do.

I think Frelick may get a call-up by the end of the month. He looks like a lock to be a solid contributor.

I'm going to throw out completely random comps to old Brewers just for discussion;
Garrett Mitchell - prime Scotty Podsednik?
Joey Wiemer - Cory Hart?
Sal Frelick - Scooter Gennet?

I have not watched these guys, so just kind throwing this against the wall. I also just noticed that Scotty Po stole 70 bases in 2004, unreal.

Thee three guys at AAA all have better physical tools than those comparisons. Cory had good speed for his size but Wiemer's athleticism is freakish. He made a play from deep in RF last night that had no business being as close as it was at 2B because he's fast and has a howitzer for an arm. Mitchell's probably faster and his arm is just as good.

Frelick looks like OF Brian Roberts to me. Great contact, solid power, big plus on the base-paths.

Of the three my guess is Wiemer is least likely to stick. He looks clueless at the plate this season, just wildly swinging out of his shoes.

I've tried to keep an eye on Mitchell but I have never seen Frelick play. I just saw some old scouting report about him being a really gritty team first guy, I think he is a lefty, so my first thought was Scooter.

Everyone raked tonight. Chourio is 4-4 with three runs scored.

What position will Esteury Ruiz be playing since Wiemer, Mitchell, and Frelick all at AAA?

Wiemer was @ DH tonight. Other three in the outfield. Probably will rotate them around.

I'm gonna be fascinated to see how they handle Chourio's promotions.

Acuna's age 19 season was 28 games in A+, 57 games in AA, and 54 games in AAA. Raked in every spot. The Brewers could be aggressive moving him through the system, but they don't really have to. Frelick should probably be in Milwaukee now.

Baseball America's got an updated Top 100 Prospect list. Chourio is #2.

The most exciting and intriguing thing going on with the Brewers this year tbh. Keep the updates coming.

At the same time, the Brewers have typically been known to have a slow approach when it comes to promoting their prospects, especially to the show, and hope that isn't the case with Chourio.

If he's ready, he's ready.

Have they? I don't recall thinking that in recent years. If anything, I think they're pretty appropriately aggressive with their promotions these days.

Specifically to the major leagues, I don't think there are many teams who promote to the big leagues quickly at a young age, those are special cases, maybe Chourio will be one. Very few players are ready and nobody is in a rush to start their service clocks before then.

Any chance 1 of these guys makes it to the bigs this year? Or likely not due to like service time and **** like that? Be cool if like Frelick came in late and added some hitting. Probably a bit too much to ask though.

I think Frelick should be up here now. Good hitter, great baserunner, can play all over the OF. It wouldn't be hard to find him ABs.
