I predict an even more lopsided defeat after the Hope Solo picture and conversation in this thread.

Maybe you haven't watched Morgan's at bats.

Also for defense. Morgan isn't a terrible defender obviously, but Gomez is as good as it gets. With the D'backs big sluggers I want every ball to be able to be run down.

I didn't watch a ton of the Brewers down the stretch, but I'd rather have Plush, I guess. I assumed by those statements that he is struggling on offense, but at some point Blowmez will blow again on offense.

gomez has been very good the last week or so of the season including the playoffs. Plush is 1-11 with like 6 Ks

Plush has looked absolutely awful at the plate. Even worse than the numbers show, if that's possible.

gomez is hot at the plate, and he's killing himself trying to win in the outfield and on the basepaths. better defender. let him play.

Gomez has also hit some trash lefties lately. Plush just faced Kennedy and Hudson. Put Gomez up against Kennedy and he probably strikes out 3 times looking foolish.

I'm fine with either playing but if Plush plays at least move him down in the order.

I don't really mind either guy, myself. I just think Gomez has been hitting garbage pitching so I'm not going to really look a ton into his hitting.

And Nyjer hasn't been hitting garbage pitching.

I'd go with defense in this case.

I'm fine with Gomez but I'm wondering why it's such a slam dunk.

Oh well. Might as well put McGehee at 3B and Hairston at 2B since McGehee got on base last night and Weeks has struggled, amiright?

Not saying it's a slam dunk, but I like Gomez's defense much better, like him on the basepaths more and think Morgan has been struggling at the dish.

I'm saying it's a slam dunk since Nyjer has been all kinds of awful in this series.

I don't care if Morgan is struggling at the dish, I'm going with my best players.

Morgan posted a .400 OBP in September. Gomez is likely to have 4 or 5 disgustingly bad at bats and may not be on the basepaths at all against Ian Kennedy.

Gomez possibly the best CF in baseball. It's one game, so Gomez could go 5-5 also, who knows, but money is on him being pretty awful, especially in some key spots where we need a sac fly or something. Morgan has had 3 bad games so therefore he's going to be an abortion again? He even had a huge single in there.

WEFFPIM, what awful pitching has Morgan not hit? He couldn't hit Ian Kennedy or Daniel Hudson. Those guys are good. Gomez probably strikes out 7 times in there. Collmenter got him, too.

I'm not fully endorsing Morgan, but I'm one of the guys that really isn't one to ride hot streaks, and I'm especially not going to ride one because a guy went 2/3 off Joe Saunders.

I'm sure we can find that Kotsay is like 2/3 against Kennedy or some stat like that so therefore bench Braun.
