Pinch hitting with your worst hitter was cool.

Dunn sucks but Monesterio is our worst hitter.

Those key hits with runners on seem to be drying up a bit.

Averaging 2.75 runs per game in the last 8, even with the 10-run game in Detroit. That's comfortably below the worst offense in baseball (White Sox, 3.1 RPG). They were averaging over 5 RPG before this slump started, top-5 in baseball.

Contreras rested once in that span and Ortiz was out last night, but other than that, everyone has been played in these 8 games. Hope they're not turning back into a pumpkin.

I figured with a day off tomorrow they'd give Ortiz another day off.

Let's win this series.

Struggling offenses can't give away at bats like that. Even when it's Oliver Dunn.

Gonna need the offense to snap out of it here. Besides the one blowout against the Tigers it's been really rough for a bit. The pitching has honestly been fairly incredible considering what we're working with. The offense has to keep doing their part too.

Whatevs, it's baseball and a win is a win. Is Perkins better than Cain in CF? I think he might be. Not that either of those catches were hard, but he makes so many of them look so easy. I think he might cover slightly more ground than Cain did.

Honestly think Perkins does cover more ground. I think both get really good reads and jumps but slight edge to Cain here because he was incredible at that. Also think both are good athletes but slight edge to Perkins, he's so smooth, one of those athletes that make moving really quickly look easy
