This bullpen really need a healthy Devin Williams back. They've done a great job overall but the cracks are starting to show now.

Another reality check series
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Cinderella's coach isn't turning into a pumpkin just yet. Yes, it's easy to see the difference between this lineup and what Al McGuire used to call the blue-chippers the Dodgers throw out there. But even if they get swept, there are a lot of reassuring signs that these Brewers will be the Boys of Autumn.

Have you noticed that their 15-over record has been compiled with 49 of 89 games played on the road? Or that even with what seems like a dozen different pitchers getting starts that overall the pitching has been effective?

There's a point where overachieving glides seamlessly into regular achieving, and I think we're almost there.

The winning has continued despite abominable stretches from Contreras, Adames and Hoskins. A healthy Devin Williams and returns to health for some other arms bodes well for staying power.

Still inevitably a tick behind the Dodgers and Phillies but hard not to be impressed with this market continuing to be a winning ball club.

I'm sorry but I just can't even stand watching Peralta pitch anymore. It's almost always a total drag. Dude just can't get his command right.
