Interesting. I'm sure BA had some options. As long as he still does 50 (at least Brewer games).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I saw that Molson Coors is closing the Leinenkugel’s facility in Chippewa Falls (and think another smaller brewery in MKE), but said there will be no changes to the Barrel Yard at Am Fam Field. This surprised me as they have a pretty cool thing up in CF and their entire marketing is around Northwoods/Chippewa Falls, but guess majority was already being made in MKE so sure it wasn’t worth the cost if the remaining 25% can be handled in MKE.

Feel bad for that area though as it will be a big blow to them. That Leines Lodge was always pack and even if that stays open, can’t imagine business will fizzle a bit.

The Leinenkugel family was caught off guard, they had no advance word on this. They sold the company to Miller in 1988 but have been involved in promoting it around the state. John Leinenkugel is on the radio from time to time and he's hilarious. I understand consolidating operations but this sucks for Chippewa Falls.

I worked at Leinenkugels as seasonal help a couple of summers while going to college. I feel terrible for the long time employees, those were good jobs for a small community.

I don't really drink anymore but if I did I would be boycotting them from here on out.

Sounds like the entire Loge Level (2nd deck) will be getting all new seats. Curious if they go cushion or if they will be the same.

Brewers are currently selling their kids pack, which is actually a pretty decent deal. Its $47 after fees but get 6 tickets (can be used as upgrade vouchers, worth $18/each last season), AmFam Tour voucher, and a bunch of goodies (hoody, hat, wallet, bag this year). I think they usually sell out but worth a look if have kids that are into Brewers and go to games.

Has anybody ever done this Ballpark Pass thing? Curious if it is only for 1 seat, so would it be the month fee x 2 if want a set of tickets? Also wonder if the month rate is season months only and not every month. Just curious. Seems like (potentially) a great deal if go to a-lot of games.

As a DirecTv Stream subscriber, do not hate this as I get that channel and don’t have to do an additional subscription (potentially).

I kind of like the face ID thing, if it works and especially if people are skeptical to use it (i.e. shorter lines). There were a few games last year where it did take awhile to get in. The express line for light packers will be good too.

Food truck thing is fine but doubtful I personally use it much. I was more excited for the in-house brewery addition.

Interesting they are eliminating 1,600 seats but those corner Terrace areas are pretty undesirable. Curious how the final product will look once the offices are complete. I wish they could open up left field more so could get a more open air/view of the city (albeit the skyline is far away). But guessing with the roof, its hard to open too much up.

The food truck thing is kind of weird. They can't fit food trucks in so they are basically building 4 new concession stands and making them look like food trucks. They'll buy the rights to some local food truck names (that most people won't know) but Delaware North employees will staff them.

Oh, that is strange. Not a fan of inauthentic. IMO, it's corny and feels too corporate and Disney theme park-like. Just build them a traditional concession stand and call it a day. I'm sure these businesses are happy for the additional reach and maybe I'm just too old. I'm sure they did market research on it. :dontknow:

I agree. Does seem slightly inauthentic. Kinda like when they tried that burger place (AJ Bomber’s) but just felt like a normal concession stand. Unless the restaurant is operating year round, hard for me to buy into it.

The food truck thing I would rather have like 3-4 trucks in an outside area but with access from inside. Like park the things outside the panels in the outfield and have a door out to a food truck area. Not sure if that would be a hit or not, but would be the actual food truck at least.

Bomber's is a good example. It was just a ballpark burger place with the name. That's why it's gone. Same with Chick Fil a at Fiserv.

I like the inside/outside food truck idea.

We have a Food Truck Friday thing in the summer down the block from me. Usually about a dozen trucks. Absolutely always packed, waiting time of at least a half hour per truck. I basically never go because of the wait. I can't imagine what the wait times would be with actual food trucks at a Brewer game. If you're there to see a game, you're not gonna wanna stand around for an hour waiting for some BBQ.

That's true. Has to be quick. Ballpark prices mitigate demand somewhat. I tailgate when I can. But I don't always have time for weeknight games. Or the weather is crappy. So I grab food inside. AmFam food options/quality better than FiServ imo. I almost always eat before first pitch so I'm not wasting time getting food during the game. Sometimes I'll eat before I go and just snack on peanuts during the game. The Brewers carry in policy for food is pretty liberal.

Food truck thing is interesting. Last time I went to a game last year I sat in the Toyota Tundra Area ( do not recommend it) and I could not even find normal nachos and cheese anywhere.
