I'd really prefer the front office see the moves that Ned is making and just make a move while we're still over .500 than have to dig a hole and then make a move.

Who do you think has the final say on internal roster moves?

A. Yost + Melvin agree
B. Melvin agrees with Yost + coaches
C. Yost/coaches agree with Melvin/staff
D. Just Yost

I would think Yost, Melvin and Ash all have an opinion on these moves.

Now for the real test. What if the Brewers need a save tomorrow? Think NASCAR trots the Canuck out there again or you think he'll actually comprehend this incredibly blatant hint?

i think the unfortunate answer to that is he's getting 10 mil this year and has to get another chance.

My guess would be Riske or Mota.

I don't see Melvin making a managerial change as long as we are above .500. As PP said, we have to bottom out and have a losing record before Nascar gets the boot.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

-Riske was being saved for the 10th inning

-Turnbow needed to pitch in a close game to get confidence

-Turnbow also needed to pitch because everyone was tired

-Gagne was going to pitch in a save situation

-Why do we put up with this?

Okay these are things that Yost apparently said in his press conference. I didn't watch it but I got it from BF.net and they're replaying the press conference at 1:30 so I'll either watch it if I'm still up or DVR it and watch it tomorrow and then reply. I'm guessing these comments are pretty accurate though so I could go after him right now.

1. so he was willing to concede the game for a guy who he had showed no confidence in up to this point.

2. he contradicts himself by saying this, yet earlier apparently said if his guys say they can pitch he believes them.

The Brewers are starting to look eerily similar to the Sucks. Hopefully they don't end up as disapointing and Ned K is fired before he causes this team to choke and miss the playoffs again.

I'm almost thinking we need a thread, maybe a stickied thread, to keep track of the number of times we get Yosted this year.

He can pitch in a close game in Nashville to accomplish this.

Yost called Turnbow an all-star pitcher.

Ned's favorite phrase "It happens."

-Riske was being saved for the 10th inning

Okay so tell me Ned. Who is the better reliever between Riske and Turnbow? Just letting you know if you say "ex all-star" Derrick Turnbow you're an idiot.

Riske is absolutely the better pitcher but what has become a common theme with Ned is that he uses inferior pitcher and "saves" the better pitcher for later in the game. Well inferior players are more likely to blow the game and that's what happens and continued to happen. Use your best pitchers available and then work your way down.

-Turnbow needed to pitch in a close game to get confidence

Well then why not yesterday with a two run lead and then Torres or Riske warming up? That would be a better situation than a tie game where one single run could cost you the game.

-Turnbow also needed to pitch because everyone was tired

-Gagne was going to pitch in a save situation

Hilarious. Turnbow needed to pitch because everybody else was tired but you were going to go to Gagn

Wow, I can't even fathom some of the things that he stated. I'm just glad I didn't watch it or my TV would have been destroyed after only a week.

It just doesn't make any sense. The move he made to bring Turnbow in is not a move you make if you want to win the baseball game. It's a move you make to see if a guy can get the job done or not.

Except the Brewers don't have Michael Redd, which means we still have hope

I think Yost wants to make risky decisions so if they work he'll be praised. Well, they never work Ned. Stop making them.

You know, hiring Ned was all fine and great when the team wasn't that good. It was something to get the fan base excited - former player brought back to resurrect the team. Things start turning around, the team gets better, and people are happy with that, willing to ignore certain things. But, now this team is fully capable of being competitive, and not just competitive, but expected to win and push for a playoff spot. We just can't tolerate stupid coaching mistakes anymore. Who knows how short our window could be due to injuries, guys coming up for free agency, whatever. We saw what happened with the Bucks when they brought in crap coach after crap coach, and for the most part, it wasn't good. It's like when a little kid does something wrong, and you excuse it because "oh, well he doesn't know any better." Well, we know better and mistakes like the ones that constantly seem to happen cannot be tolerated any more by this franchise nor the fans.
