You know damn well the Cardinals rookie ball team is probably places 1-25 on that list, realistically.

Arizona Fall League Top 10 Prospects

6. Josh Hader, lhp, Surprise (Brewers)

No AFL player boosted his prospect stock more this fall than Hader. Acquired by Milwaukee from Houston in July as part of a four-player package for big league outfielder Carlos Gomez and pitcher Mike Fiers, Hader was earlier viewed as a likely candidate to move to the bullpen largely because of his slender body and low-three-quarters delivery. Hader turned out to be one of the more consistently dominant pitchers this fall, posting a league-best 0.56 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 16 innings. The fastball, delivered with a crossfire motion that adds deception, sat in the mid-90s and touched 98. He has a good feel for a slider that flashes plus and he mixes in a deceptive changeup. Scouts in the AFL were giving Hader at least an even chance to stay in the rotation, with shutdown reliever being a possible fallback option.

Other AFL Players Of Note

Just missing the top 10 was another Surprise Saguaro pitcher obtained by Milwaukee in the Carlos Gomez deal. Houser impressed with a sinking fastball up to 97 mph as part of his quality, three-pitch arsenal. He’s a physical 6-foot-4, 230-pound bruiser suited for burning innings.

Videos of both in the link. Hader looks so much like Bumgarner in the video. Houser looks a little like Nelson.

Sickel's Brewers Top 20 prospect list is out: http://www.minorleagueball.com/2015/12/2/9814812/milwaukee-brewers-top-20-prospects-for-2016

I think a player like Kirby, who has a ton of upside, being at #20, kind of illustrates how far the system has come. Hope we can get an absolute stud prospect for Lucroy to add to this group.

Kirby's at 20 because he's missing an entire season. He's higher if he would be able to pitch.

Wow, how can you drop Gatewood that much, he was hurt most of the year. I would of thought maybe Devin Williams and Kodi would be ranked higher. Kodi looked overall good in his first year in Single A. He had some terrible games of course like any young guy, but i Can still see him as a number 2 SP. Devin Williams is the guy I am most excited about even over Lopez for a guy who I think can be an Ace that can carry this team. We have some good depth right now, but with the upcoming trades of Lucroy and Segura we will see wher ewe are.

I mean i am not saying we will trade Lucroy this off-season, but who knows if someone really wants to overwhelm us. He has the best contract in sports, so even low payroll teams who want to go all in would want him.

And of course Segura is all but gone. If he is on this team opening day I will be shocked. Why do you make the Villar trade if you are expecting Segura to be here? And really Sterns is building a project, Villar will play the first month and half whatever it is netx year so Arica can keep his extra year.

BTW no wang on that list either?
Tyrone Taylor dropping that far, that just shows how little prospect rankings matter, everyone was raving about him last yeaar. WHo knows if he is even with org. next year.

lol even if tyrone taylor hit under .200 he will still be with the organization next year.. come on man...he will be 22 all of next year? he had one down year and it wasn't even that bad.. .260 in Double A at 21 isn't terrible at all.. their is no way the brewers give up on him...unless your talking about a trade.we do have a lot of outfield depth but id wait on taylor for another couple years unless you can get a nice pitcher for him

I'm not giving up on their nice, risky Wang move (lol, get it?), but even with his low ERA, his K/9 was so ridiculously pedestrian last year - I cannot get that excited.

It is nice that they didn't have to protect Wang and waste another option on him next year. Gives him another year to develop. In fact Stearns did a good job with which players to protect as none were selected in any phase of the rule 5 draft.

I know we will make other moves, some guys won't pan out, etc., but looking at everything right now, if all of Arcia, Diaz, and Lara worked out, who would be where on the infield? Could Lara play 3B? I know they are trying Gatewood there as well.

Love the amount of talented bats in the system right now. Arcia, Phillips, Harrison, Gatewood, Diaz, Lara, Orimoloye, Clark, Coulter, Taylor. If a multitude of the OF pan out we can make moves to fill other spots.

Baseball America Handbook has us as the 9th best system, before the Diaz acquisition. Luc/Davis trades would likely push that comfortably into the top 3.

Plus a Top 5 pick and good 2016 draft..More trades come during Deadline...End up with another top 5 pick...Should push our system to the top if everything goes good...I REALLY like Stearns and think this Guy takes us to the top

Gatewood and Lara were trying out 3rd in instructional league back in October. Everything is falling into place nicely.

Looks like Appleton could be a destination this summer for me. That lineup could be loaded.

Law's top five systems:

1 - Atlanta
2 - LAD
3 - Minnesota
4 - Chicago
5 - Milwaukee:

They've gone from having the majors' worst farm system just two years ago to a top-five system thanks to a series of shrewd trades, starting with former GM Doug Melvin's work last summer to begin the rebuilding process, as well as one of the strongest draft classes in 2015.

Worst farm system in the division though.

I hope the Brewers go for Gutierrez from Venezuela. Not much to see in the clip, just his swing.
