He wasn't. Toronto signed him after he threw mid-90s in Olympic tune-ups. He was broadcasting.

He maybe should have stayed broadcasting, lol.

He did make several appearances for their Triple A affiliate and was lights out.

Burnes is something else. The nasty has always been there but seeing him reign it in and consistently use it is down right scary.

He's 28. He'll be 30 before he can pitch in the majors again. If he even gets back to that level.
