I'm not used to seeing the NL do anything in the AS game. This is weird. Still want to see it end in a tie.

Talking to a pitcher while he's pitching is so incredibly **** stupid. It's hard to even put it into words.

The Marlins have Alcántara signed through 2027 at an AAV of $11 million. Forget Soto, this dude has the greatest trade value in MLB history.

It's grown on me to the point where I think if they mic'd up some key players every game it'd be the most watched sport on the planet. This has been pretty great.

We've had players on mics in T20 cricket for awhile. This was one of the more fun occasions -

Mic'd up is fine enough, but the pitchers mic'd up just hits me as terrible. The guy they were talking to when I posted this was responding to questions with one word. I believe this is what the kids call cringe.

ETA: Nestor Cortes was obviously much different. Dude is a riot.

Four letter words are a hangup. Especially for the pitcher.

"****. **** motherf*cking **** ****.This **** is going in his **** ear."

I'm fine with it as a gimmick. I'd grow tired of it quickly if it was the norm.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think we're at the point technologically where you can start to think outside the box. Provided you still had the same ad dollars, imagine having the option of the traditional broadcast, a field audio broadcast with stadium sounds, and a broadcast with select mic'd up players.

If I was the pitcher, before every fastball, I would bring my glove up to cover my mouth and mutter: Can you handle the heat, meat?

I finally get the Hader trade... Stearns left San Diego with their top prospects so the Padres could get Soto and not the Cardinals.

3D chess :)

In all seriousness I am happy Soto isn't going to St. Louis. I hate the cards more than every other team combined.

Abrams was the #1 prospect before graduating this year. Hassell is their #1 this year, Wood is their #3.
