Re: Brewers/Dodgers NLCS - Game 1 Monday - 7:08 - TBS
I mean yeah, I'm not letting Yelich off the hook, but seems like semantics. This team is built on contact hitting and getting speed on the bases. When two of your literal best guys at that are a combined sub-.230 on-base for the whole playoffs, then that's a bigger problem to me. I'd love to win every game like Game-5 holding the opposition to one run and getting all our runs from solo shots, but that doesn't' seem sustainable against this Dodgers team.

Game 3 is 5:08 Thursday. Game 4 is 7:38 Friday.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

9:38 local start time is absolutely insane.

It's a Friday night in LA. The night is just starting.

Is this a bit or am I missing something in that the game would start at 5:38 PM local time in LA?

Interesting. Perkins hits lefties better than Bauers. I guess they want some potential power in there and Bauers did have a double last night (against a righty). At least it's not Lockridge.

Yamamoto is a RHP. Bauers makes sense. He had an OPS over 1.000 last month and is (somewhat hilariously) over 2.000 in the playoffs. Concerns in LF though; the Brewers have had to chase down a lot of fly balls lately, especially last night. Collins had a huge catch in LF early.
Perkins is pretty good against LHPs and should have played last night with Chourio at DH IMO, but I guess Yelich is the highest-paid guy on the team and gets every start no matter how bad the matchup is.

Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Captain obvious over here but we need to run their starter early and get to that pen. We cannot let that dude go deep and allow them to hide the weakest part of their roster.

I said this like a half dozen times yesterday. It is indeed stupidly obvious but it's also all the more critical for a team like ours against a team with their makeup. We need long ABs, and singles/walks even if they don't lead to anything. Just get that PC up.

Bauers has been hitting you need to get him in the lineup.

Yep. For as much of a salary gap there is, their bullpen is just guys. We can’t let them off the hook by avoiding that part of their roster. Cheers gents, let’s even this series!!

Yeli has been awful but Ohtani looks just as lost up there.
