Kind of sucks that we didn't make any impact moves. And our future is not looking as good as it did last year.

I would really like to see Stearns put a little more focus on getting a sure thing Starter in the off season. Kind of sick of players like Chacin, Anderson, Davies, etc who are wildly inconsistent. At the same time we need our young pitchers Burnes/Peralta to step up.

Letting the pitching coach go last year??? Might be the worst move besides letting Wade Miley go for 4.5 million.

Stearns next offseason is so damn critical.

I was optimistic but I dont know anymore.

This is interesting considering we kept him and he was in rumors. They must really like him, let's hope he can be successful.

Someone should let Tommy know they have started Thames and salandino in the OF recently. I think they can find some time for him.

The only reason Milwaukee acquired him was because of his recent lights out success in the bullpen. That was obvious the second the deal was announced.

What I said was LITERALLY told to a team within the organization the moment he was acquired. I've got no reason to lie here. I really don't care if anyone believes me or not. I've been here long enough, it's not like I'm constantly sitting behind my computer and throwing **** at the wall with sources.

Your assertion that 1 week of bullpen action being the ONLY reason they acquired him is comical. 4 outings is not equal to "lights out success."

Also need to get Drew's name corrected in the thread title.

I mean, I have it in text, so it's not. I suppose people like you are incapable of realizing things are sometimes in flux!

I'm not really taking sides here but logically you'd think Pomeranz would be a reliever. I guess that they could have tried him out as a 3-4 inning starter to take advantage of the short bursts. But I know you heard what you heard.

Who really knows. They could call him a bullpen arm and still have him open games.

Makes sense as a reasonable Aguilar replacement for RH power bat for September (and maybe earlier). Those are generally a dime-a-dozen but they were pretty much empty on MLB caliber versions after losing Cooper, Aguilar, Cordell (I guess) in deals/release.

Josh Hader is in the 100th percentile for strikeouts and the 2nd percentile for hard hit rate. Only 7 pitchers allow more SLG on contact.

0-0 count: .412 average, 1.412 slugging, 5 home runs
All other counts: .129 average, .298 slugging, 8 home runs

Throws a 4 seam fastball 85% of the time on the first pitch.
