Today was another good example. Comeback wasted.

Honestly, we need to make a mid-season managerial move that will jump-start us, like what the Astros did in 2004 when they hired Phil Garner.

Pitching Mota two days and in a row for two innings each is not smart.

Mota can usually go back to back days. Maybe he should have brought in Torres to close it out. But was probably thinking he might need him for extra innings.

Yeah, he can go back to back days but not multiple innings on back to back days which is what Ned did.

I guess but I am more upset about the wild pitch then Yost leaving him in there. Though Yost has been making stupid mistakes a lot more this year. I don't blame this one on him.

Why didn't we use Torres?

If the game was going into extras, had the Brewers taken a lead at some point, Torres would have been needed. I have no problem with not using Torres. Shouse should have pitched the 9th.

I'm not a big fan of the "worst to best" order of bullpen usage. Whether it was Torres or Shouse in the 9th, Mota should not have been given a 2nd inning.

Today speaks for itself. The bullpen takes some of the blame, but Yost definitely should as well.

I take pride in creating the longest thread in realgm brewers message board history.

This is honestly the first time I've been furious with a Yost decision. This should have been Gagne's ballgame.

The excuse will be Gagne hasn't pitched in a long time. He threw 9 freakin' pitches.

The last time Mota got lit up Yost said he was "befuddled" (his exact word). I wonder what word he will use this time.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Can we plan a bag over the head night someday? But when it really matters the most Yost never makes the right call. When we win it has nothing to do with Yost.

Today's game. 0 outs, up by 1 run, runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Yost decides to bring the infield in and try to get the runner going home on a ground ball.

What a normal or even decent manager does in this situation:
Walks the next batter to load up the bases.
Plays the IF at double play depth and hopes for extra innings.

What should have happened? A bouncer up the middle which would have turned into a double play and hopes for extra innings.

What actually happens? A bouncer up the middle that scores two and loses the game for the Brewers.

This is a game to be remembered coming down the stretch.

Especially considering it was their hottest hitter at the plate.

It really is amazing to me that fans of not only this team but of other teams can see how terrible Yost's moves are before the bad happens yet our own manager can't see that he's making a terrible move.

Play it by the book you **** knob. Why was Mota even pitching? He's our "8th inning guy."

I'm more angry about not walking Jackson than I am about not having Gagne come out for the 9th. If he blew up, imagine us all then.

Mota had a 5 run lead and 3 outs to get. There is no reason why he shouldn't have been able to get those outs.

Yeah I was puzzled about the infield being pushed in too. Maybe Yost was afraid of extra innings since he already used most of his bullpen. Still a dumb move.

I'll be at the game today. I'll be the guy drinking beer, eating some bratskis, wearing a hat and booing Nascar and Hall.
