And of course that hit likely gives the Cardinals the win.

Why is Braun so deep when any single could score a run

Holliday is kinda slow so a single might not have guaranteed a run. A double would have obviously.

Lose a game pitching to Berkman with Shumaker on deck. That sucks.

Does complaining about not walking berkman really matter when the hit he got was a fluke texas leaguer?

It's not like he put it into bernie's clubhouse.

Games like this are what makes watching sports so much fun, but it's also painful when your team comes out the loser.

Doesn't matter what type of hit it was. He's having a huge year, first base is open and there's no reason to pitch to him. Blooper or hard line drive, doesn't matter, a hit is a hit, and with 2 outs, it scores the run.

Yes. It's not like it takes no skill to hit a low changeup that way. Once first base was open Estrada shouldn't have thrown anything near the plate.

We'll still be 2.5 up, I'll take it

But the chances anyone else gets that hit are very small. Shoulda walked him but ah well, missed opportunities all over the place, can't pin it on one AB.
