That just looks impossible. The catcher looks so befuddled.

How much would a team have to give up to get Stanton ?

I don't think the Brewers could put together a package, if that's your question. :)

Best fits I see would be Texas and Seattle who have both the need and the players to get it done.

Nah didn't think we'd have enough for him.

My thoughts were atm the asking price would be to high for many clubs.

How much of the remaining 31 mil on his contract would the mets have to pay for you to take a chance on Johan?

If they would pick up 15mil, I would give him a look. He was dominate the 1st half of the season and then looked burnt out.

Totally a risk worth 16 million dollars for 1 season (with buyout) or 35 million for 2 seasons. That's with the 15 million subtracted out.

The BBWA should be stripped of their guardianship of the hall. They have been an embarrassment.

The only players I had issues with not being let in today were Biggio & Piazza, should both be there.

The largest problem I have, are writers who covered the steroid players, did not report on it when they knew it was going on and are now playing God, deciding that these guys should not be in. That is a strong double standard that really bothers me.

The same goes for Selig and MLB who knew all this crap was going on, chose to promote it and then tried to shovel the Sh*t back into the horse in an effort to "clean up baseball".

I love baseball, always will, but the entire thing is a disgrace.
Ball so hard.

Aaron, Mays, Schmidt and hundreds of others took greenies, and they're in the hall of fame. It is **** asinine to keep two of the best players of their (or any) era out.

Here's TH's reasoning behind how he voted.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Relieved that Haudy voted for the deserving inner ring players.

It still irks me that TH didn't vote for McGuire and Palmeiro. That both dudes have admitted to, or were caught taking PED's doesn't really make them any different than Bonds and Clemens. That Bonds hasn't been officially "caught" makes it no less obvious that he was a PED user. In fact, Haurdicourt says it himself; he thinks they cheated. To fall back on "innocent until proven guilty" is a cop out. You aren't sending them to jail, Tom, you're being asked to judge their Hall of Fame worthiness. To vote for Bonds, but not McGuire is miserably inconsistent.

All of these guys should be in the Hall. Our nation's, and our sports institutions' disposition toward drugs (PED or otherwise) is beyond idiotic.
