Needed a night of sleep and went to bed around 5-0. Jeez, Sal.

This is one of those things where I do actually wonder if a better CF makes that play look way more routine than Sal. But either way it was a legit home run robbery and I have a hard time believing any home run robbery is a 95% catch probability

Scrap heap pitchers + quickly developing young position players = a team I'm starting to think could make some noise.

If you didn't stay up for the game, what you missed besides an exciting finish was the home plate umpire blowing every third ball-strike call. Hurry up with that automatic system, MLB.

I suppose the one argument is that it looked a lot harder than it was because he's short, making the short wall look normal. It's the Spud-Webb-wins-the-dunk-contest (on a short hoop) effect. I think he was also playing very deep, so there wasn't much ground to cover. But 95% still seems like some kind of joke.

Oof, don't hold your breath. They're drawing it back in the minors.

Sounds like walks are way up and they are "tweaking" it. I don't know if the walk thing is true. It will never be perfect but it should be consistent at least.

I get that it's hard to figure out where the top and bottom of the zone should be, since that varies based on height and maybe crouch (they haven't decided yet on the latter), but side-to-side should be ready to go by now. At least give the umpire an electronic tone only he can hear and let him make the call. Last night's umpire was consistently wrong (if the on-screen box is right) to one side, and it changed the dynamics of so many plate appearances that it was getting distracting.

Botching a pickoff play at second with two outs and two strikes? Couldn't be the Brewers.
