It was a very good pitch and a lucky hit, but with first base open there, i simply would prefer taking my chances that Skip Shumaker beats us instead of arguably the NL MVP.

I had kind of hoped we got walks/hits down to the pitching spot and Counsell was our last option off the bench and there was an epic showdown of him trying not to tie the record with the tying run on 3rd.
