That was fun. Fly the L!
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I can't stop watching the replay of Crow Armstrong leaping for that Chourio nuke and falling on his ass. Amazing stuff

Gotta give credit to the Brewers fans. It was a hige worry the Cubs fans would take over and in Game 1 and 2 on TV it definitely felt like a very pro Brewers crowd. That was great to see. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about a Game 5.

For sure. I was 100% positive it would be a Cubs crowd. Never even entered my mind otherwise. Clearly I was way the hell wrong.

This is about how I remember it. Most of the strikes that were called balls went against the Brewers. I'd guess about 9 of them, maybe even 10. I think the Brewers did benefit from 2 of the 3 balls that were called strikes, but the mistakes overwhelmingly favored the Cubs.

Estabrook was too focused on not falling for Wild Bill's excellent pitch-framing attempts, which I'll grant that he did a good job ignoring, but it came at the expense of being way too tight in the strike zone for Brewer pitchers.

You could definitely tell it was bugging him. Just hopeful its one of those things he can manage to play through without further damage, which with hammys may not be the case. He clearly was a net positive with it last night though.

Really hope we can end this thing tomorrow and allows him to rest it 4 days. And in general just end this thing while the Cubs are down. Be huge to jump on them in the 1st tomorrow and set the tone.

You guys had me resorting to brewerfan.net just to see if anyone else saw Chourio limp a few times and make sure I wasn't going crazy. The way he was favoring it reminds me of how it feels when a hamstring isn't really injured per se but you still feel a little bit of a lingering knotty charley horse effect.

ETA: I could make a case for letting the LHBs/SHs all start against Taillon. Collins/Perkins/Frelick is a great defensive OF and Yelich + Bauers can be the DH/1B combo.

Just DH him and have Yeli play left at this point.

I might get flamed for this, but I think running the bases is just as risky as playing in the OF. With the NLCS looming and an RHP starting for the opponent, I think I'm just resting him.

I'm a little embarrassed at my own cockiness in wanting to keep an eye on the NLCS, but it's not just that - you could make an argument for being a little conservative here just to keep him healthy for the rest of this series as well.

ETA: That's a pretty big outfield for a slightly hobbled OF too, isn't it? Yeah, I'm going with the healthy ~1.5 dWAR guys for sure.

Chourio's hammy is even more of a reason to end these dickheads tomorrow and get 4 days off before game 1 of the NLCS.

I tend to agree that running the bases may be worse than the OF so DH may not be ideal. Rather maybe use as a pinch hitter and swing for the fences.

I feel like they’ll go Yeli in LF and Bauers will DH. Bauers actually was rolling at the plate in September too albeit its been 1.5 weeks now.
