Sucks to hear BA get excited over the Dodgers lol
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We basically have to be the 03 Marlins and get hot with some luck to win it. It's one thing for teams to be able to afford every player under the sun, but what I hate is all the deferred crap the Dodgers have been doing. How many advantages do you need?

Someone texted me that Yelich has 2 HR and 3 total RBIs over his postseason career. That’s insane if true.

They did great. Incredible job by the whole organization to maximize everything they had to work with.

I love the Brewers, they are incredibly well run, with players who are super easy to root for. But unfortunately they play in a league where a team can buy an All Star lineup & Cy Young pitching staff. Big markets will always win in MLB
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

At the end if the day I expect the next deal to have minor tweaks and no real caps.

Mark is cheap. Bud was cheap. But the discrepancy in this series is ludacrisp. As you point out, the contracts to Ohtani and also now Yamamoto are structured in such a way few teams could acquire such talent.

Kohl lost money several years but he knew he'd cash in when he sold the team. Making a yearly profit was irrelevant. Of course the money was often spent unwisely but that's not the point.

I think what is lost to people sometime is the the equity / profit Kohl made from selling the team wasn't that impressive. Dude would've made more money in the S&P 500 before even accounting for the annual losses. People just see the change in valuation over 30 years and think it was some crazy investment... It wasn't

A problem I see is that the cap is so high it won't matter. If I remember correctly teams like Boston and NY now maybe want a salary cap. Why because the smaller teams are eating at your profits ? Need to have bothright?

I don't want to absolve Attanasio here either. He absolutely could spend more and give us a couple other players to lengthen the lineup or give us another ace in the pen or a starter who could reliably give us a chance in a game. We have basically the same payroll now that we had in 2015. The fans have done everything you could have possibly asked for. How about you **** do something to keep our support?

.233 Average. To be honest though he just isn't that guy from 2018 and 2019. Have to wonder if there was any funny business going on those years.

Very true butttt. I am the kind of person who thihks hey why watch if they have very little chance of winning the whole thing. I normally just tune very late in season if they are doing well.

Look at the bright side. Giannis will get a check from the 2025 profits.

Kohl seemed to really love hoops. Not sure if you can say the same from Mark.

The entire setup of Baseball's playoffs are the worst in American pro sports. Including MLS which is saying something.

Why are Cubs fans so miserable? My entire timeline is filled with them using that "L" flag photo as some rallying cry dunk on us which is such a bizarre choice considering what it represents. I guess context doesn't matter.

If this goes as trending with the dodgers cruising to a world series after basically load managing to 90 wins, there will be a lockout

Would totally welcome a lockout, a full-season lockout

That was a really boring game to watch, even with the stakes. Good product, MLB!

Payroll unfairness aside, the Brewers had some of the worst at-bats I have ever seen. Were they simply unable to be patient due to pitching, or did they scrap that idea entirely?

It was like watching the Dream Team versus Angola. Surely they're better than they showed.

This is just a guess on my part, but Yamamoto had the lowest BAA in MLB this year. I think the Brewers were trying to be aggressive and jump on him early in counts to try and produce power because stringing hits together against him was going to be a tough thing to do.
