Lifelong Mets fan and he's gotta love payroll flexibility. Appreciate what he did here (obviously not every move worked out).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I just hope the Brewers were well aware this was coming and are well prepared for if/when he comes calling trying to poach any coaching/developmental talent within the organization.

I did not enjoy Pitching Ninja spamming my Twitter feed with Reese Olson highlights yesterday. Maybe it was after that trade was when Stearns realized he needed a break.

Worst kept secret in sports. Happy for Stearns. Landed his dream job before turning 40.

Things seem to be going well in San Diego

Randomly thought of this, but if the Miami-NYM make-up inning is only needed to determine whether Arizona or Miami is the higher seed, can the Marlins just to forfeit and be the 6 seed instead of losing their rest/travel day?

Showalter isn't coming back to the Mets. You know what that means.

Somehow I missed that MLB finally fired Hernandez on Friday.

Always hard to trust these sort of people...but actually Trevor Bauer may deserve an apology?

This was part of an article in The Athletic:

But with the Mets firing manager Buck Showalter on Sunday, the question now is whether Stearns will pursue Counsell, who is unsigned past this season, to replace him.

“I’m enjoying doing what I’m doing, so I would guess I’ll keep doing it,” said Counsell, who was named Brewers manager in May 2015. “But the promise I made to myself was just get to the end of the year and see where life has you. And it’s unusual for a manager to do that — but when I think about it, I think it’s fine to do.”

“I’m not under contract, so if other people ask, I’m not going to ignore it,” said Counsell, who has been with his team longer than any other NL manager. Given such service, Attanasio said, Counsell deserves the chance to consider his options.

I feel like Counsell is going to leave. I did not think that earlier in the season, but I think he may want to go somewhere with less financial constraints and may just be ready for a change.
