Exactly. They didn't deserve to be in that game. Given the way they played ALL SEASON, they deserved to be in game 1 of a 7-game series against the Nats instead.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

I despise the one game playoff in a game like baseball.

I'm fine with the way it worked out.

It was a terrible call, and who knows what happens with that extra out. But, I'm inclined to agree.

Why does the team with a worse record get to hose the first 2 games? Shouldn't the team with the better record get to host game 1 and 2? Also, in the best of seven series, why does the team with a worse record host game 5? Last year, I think the Brewers had to play at St. Louis for game 5. I would think the team with the better record should host a pivotal game like game 5.

Because MLB was stupid and crammed the second wildcard in this year without enough off days for the wildcard teams to travel. Next year goes back to 2-2-1.

And I mentioned the 2-3-2 format last year and it's garbage. All the road team has to do is win 1 of 2 to start then 2 of 3 at home and all the pressure is on the home team for the final 2 games.

It's not 1920 anymore, we can fly all over the country in a few hours. 2-2-1-1-1.

Another Homer Bailey no-no was broken up after 6.2. Though a run had already scored after a walk and some stuff, it was still a great effort.

It's nice how every team **** their pants against the Cardinals in the playoffs. Seriously, the Cardinals could win the division with 70 wins and they could play a team with 117 wins and the Cardinals would win the series.

Extra innings O's and Yanks. Hardy watches the third strike.

The playoffs as a whole will get a lot less interesting for me if Detroit wins and the Yankees take the lead and eventually win the series.

I'm calling a Yankees/Cards World Series where I have to cheer for the Yankees. Ugh.

This is probably the order of who I want to win the WS:

1. O's
2. A's
3. Nats
4. Giants
5. Tigers
6. Reds
7. Yankees - yuck
8. Cards
