I just want the Yankees/Dodgers to lose and I really don't care how.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Three good games, one blowout.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I know it's a large stadium but the Dodgers didn't sell out. And Cleveland only had 26k(!)

The Reds being in the playoffs are why so many people were against playoff expansion. Just completely outmatched.

I feel like those wild card mid-week afternoon games are tough sell, especially in markets that have been to postseason in recent years. I don’t believe we sold out Game 1 last year and 2 years had issues selling out the D-Bags series too.

I guess that's probably true, but the idea is that it kept their fans invested through September.

And fans can be hopeful that a 5 seed can win the World Series as happened in 2023, who did so in taking down a 6 seed that destroyed the juggernaut Dodgers on their way to win the NL.

I don't care as much that a possibly out-matched/undeserving team gets in, but rather that the format forces a division winner into a 3-game wildcard. It's stupid.

Agree with this, but then you will have years where first wild card team is way better than a division winner. And felt the 1 game wild card thing ended up feeling incomplete, especially for the above mentioned solid WC teams. I don’t know what the best format would be.

Snitker steps down so Braves will be another Manager gig open.

I wonder if DeRosa from MLB Network takes one of these gigs. I feel he is a great baseball mind and would hate to lose him on the network, but has been getting his managerial chops with USA WBC team and seems like he is projecting to get a shot. He has playing day ties to at least 3 of the open gigs and know he has soft spot for Atlanta.

To be clear I was not one who was against playoff expansion but this Reds team is the exact reason people were.

My biggest problems with MLB playoffs currently are no reseeding and the 2-3-2 format.

The one game wildcard was completely fine. The two worst wildcard teams just don't deserve a 3-game series and it's ridiculous that in order to accommodate that, a team that spent all season earning a division pennant has to be put at a disadvantage. They could have just as easily done a mini-tournament style thing where the wildcard teams play single elimination games and all they'd have to do is add like, one off-day so they can squeeze in a 5-game series before the NLDS. We all know at the end of the day it's all about milking ratings, money, and content/exposure, but from a competitive advantage it's still stupid.

I wish the Astros would fire Espada and bring DeRosa in...but I know that won't happen.

I want a night game. If we lose it means I can just go to bed. If we lose during a day game I'm gonna be annoyed for hours.
