while i don't know about firing. i agree though. ineffective bullpen management, not just waiting too long, but also panicking and yanking early. i've never bashed yost, so this isn't reactionary.
I bash Yost when he keeps them in too long. He yanked Sup at the right time, even though it didn't work.
It's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong.

thats because more often than not its the wrong decision. i don't think that leaving a pitcher in too long is the only reason to criticize a manager. while that has been one of the main ones this year, he can just as easily pull a guy who's rolling.

I'm no baseball expert...but aren't those manager responsibilities and his decision? If there is someone else I should criticise then let me know...
That's fine to criticize after something doesn't work. As long as you praise a move when it does work.
I don't think Yost is a great manager and he deserves to get the ax after this season but the problems are far deeper than the manager.

I agree...and I will praise. The pitching and clutch hitting has been as pathetic as the manager the last two months....is that better?

For any of us who have played sports...this is exactly what this team is going through...
On a high bouncing ball with the game-leading run on 3rd:
"Oh man, I have to make this play, I have to make this play, I have to make this play" and then you drop it. We've had this on so many plays/at bats. Now imagine your old sports memory with an entire city breathing down your neck.
This is why the Cubs are much better, they have guys that have been here many many times and just get it done...especially at the plate.
Granted, Linebrink should have some experience under his belt.

Well I got in my car to come home from work and I hear the score is 3-1 Brewers. By the time I get home it's 5-3 Cubs. Outstanding, that is Brewers baseball.
Anyone want to tell me WHY Fielder is still batting 3rd and Braun 4th?
