Random news, but not unexpected: MLB fired the Shyam Das today.

Makes MLB look like babies. We're fine with you for 13 years because you ruled in our favor. Now you didn't so you're fired.

Das is now hearing the appeal of new Packer Hargrove.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Good article about Braun, considering he would have been coming back around this time if he was suspended.

What's amazing about this season is how it confirmed, for all the haters, how damn good Braun is and how lucky it is we've got this guy on the team.

For so long, people pointed out that Braun was a beneficiary of Fielder's protection, and that he couldn't carry a team on his own without Prince batting behind him.

Then, you had people saying that he was using 'roids and that was the basis for his success.

This season, with all of the turmoil leading into it, without Fielder, with injuries depleting the roster, and with little support from Weeks and Ramirez (for the first month or so at least), Braun has continued to dominate.

It's been quite thrilling, honestly.

Erick Almonte also won his PED appeal.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/80379 ... ck-almonte

Shortstop Erick Almonte has become the second known player in the Milwaukee Brewers organization to have a drug ban reversed, three months after Ryan Braun's suspension was lifted on appeal.

Almonte, a minor league veteran for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds who played 16 games for the Brewers last year and has spent time in two seasons with the New York Yankees, revealed Monday to ESPNdeportesLosAngeles.com that a 50-game suspension had been rescinded by Major League Baseball after a B sample came back negative.
