Wow, can't believe they gave 5 years. Holy cow, they're all in now. He better kill it the next two years because those last two are likely going to be bad

I'm good with this deal. My opinion would be different had Burnes or Ortiz been included. There were no guarantees with any of the bats that were traded by the Brewers. Looking at the road splits Yelich has put up tells me he could possibly be special away from Miami.

They have to have a deal in place for Santana already. Otherwise his trade value is gone.

They're clearly going for it over the next couple years. If they land a front line starter and replenish the system with Santana the contract probably won't be prohibitive.

$16 million AAV over 5 years for a player that relies on speed and has shown decline in defense already. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

No and like most 5 year deal the last year usually has abuyout of option. SO we'll have to wait and see. It is a lot of money for Cain.

Can't believe Cain is 32, seems like a few years ago he was on the brewers.

Can't feel great to have your team acquire two full time starting OFs in the span of an hour. I can't imagine he's going anywhere though. Broxton and Santana should be the ones freaking out.
