Base running wasn't an issue last night. In fact, they aggressively put themselves in scoring position multiple times. Missing fastballs right down the middle of the plate in fastball counts is what killed the team.

We need a nice 6 or 7 run output tonight.

This is true and, yet, we suffer base-running errors pretty much on an nightly basis. Wonderful thread starter, imho.

Question for one of you fine folks. I'm seeing on Twitter that there's a way to watch MLB.tv without a noticeable delay vs TV. One reason I didn't get MLB.tv this year is I'm always on Twitter and someone live tweeting usually alerted me to what's happening before MLB.tv shows it. If it's actually delay-free I'd buy it again.

Only issue is the blackouts. I know legal ways around it (proxy, VPN) but I'd like to test it with a live MLB.tv account before I spend $25 on a monthly sub. If someone with a subscription wants to help me out for a night so I can test it out, DM me. If it works I'll write up a tutorial with what services and devices I'm using.

Like I said, biggest thing for me is finding out two things:

1 - If a legal VPN or proxy service is a legit workaround for those in the blackout restricted area
2 - If the delay is truly absent when compared to regular cable/satellite broadcasts.

If both are legit I'm buying MLB.tv tomorrow and ditching the illegal streams I've been using.

ETA: **** it. Bought it in hopes that what I was reading is legit. It is, and from what I can tell there's no minimal, if any, lag.

Davis would have an average arm on a little league team.

Pineda just got tossed from the Sox-Yanks game for having pine tar on his neck.

Scooter's been about as good as you could hope thus far. It's early but he's currently 4th in the NL in fWAR despite having the second fewest ABs amongst qualified 2B.

Wow, is that yellow line kind of low out there. Wasn't it higher beforehand?

Left field has always been that low, there is a tunnel/walkway right behind the wall before the higher wall.

.

Huh. It makes sense, too, because the yellow line is pretty much at the same level throughout the whole outfield. I guess I never paid that much attention.

That stat from Melvin just now that we have the 4th fewest bullpen innings pitched, didn't expect that seems like we are always using our bullpen.
