Roenicke Option Exercised for 2016
Per WTMJ and MLB.com the Brewers picked up the option to keep RR through 2016. I guess not a total shock considering teams generally don't let their manager/head coach go into a season as a lame duck. But also may signify that he's going to be here the full year if 2016 is guaranteed.

Not happy
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This will probably just be something Attanasio has to eat.

It's hard to think of a situation where an organization left a manager in a lame duck status, though. I don't think this matters one way or the other

I think it gives RR a little bit longer of a leash. Prior to the option I would've said if we stunk into May that he would've had a real hot seat. With another year (assuming guaranteed), I suspect RR survives the year barring a major clubhouse meltdown.

Attanasio implying Melvin needs to decide if he wants to continue being a GM and if does, a succession plan.

Hopefully he chooses a short option. The sooner we can bring somebody in with new ideas, the better.

This team looks listless and flat so far. Despite this extension, if I'm RR cruising the aisles at Sam's Club, I don't think I'm buying the giant year's supply bottle of laundry detergent. Might not get to use it all.

Getting swept in the home opening series isn't going to make the fans any more excited or happy.
