Phillips ends 4-4 no cycle. Jorge Lopez was brilliant 8.0 IP 4 hits 8K's 2 BB's. By far the most encouraging pitcher in the system. Could be a legit #2 and should see much love in the next season rankings. Mayo is a big fan.

Really wish we could fast forward a few years so we can see some of these guys in the majors already.

Looks like Medeiros had a nice night also. 9 up 9 down with 4K's.

Lopez on the season has a 2.45 ERA and 8.6 K/9 at age 22 in AA in 125 innings. Pretty damn solid.

Two more doubles for Trent Clark, now hitting .333 (.916 OPS). Orimoloye with 3 hits, at .292 (.838 OPS).

Franly Mallen is raking this year. He signed for $750k when he was 16. Now 18 in the DSL he's got an OPS of .816, including a 1.305 OPS in August. Another shortstop.

Didnt get to watch Houser last night but his line looks ok. Berrios has yet to give up a run for the Crew and the Phillips - Arcia duo keeps hitting. Hader goes for Biloxi tonight and Nathan Kirby goes for the T-Rats. Not sure which one I'll watch. Pensacola has some nice prospects going against Hader so thats where im leaning.

Hader with another good outing minus one mistake to Jesse Winker. 0-8 from Arcia and Phillips. Kirby got rocked in Appleton.

Its nice to see a-lot of the brewers young guns pitching well. Cy Sneed, Devin Williams, Kodi, and Now Cody Ponce , and Wang has been starting to get it together in High A. Then Lopez in AA.
Things are looking up for the brewers pitching wise :) And hopefully we will get anther young ace with our top 5 pick next year.

Still very early in their minor league careers but Williams, and Kodi are so young you can see so much potential, Cy Sneed and Ponce look so polished already its amazing.

Does Wang have good grounder pitch or something? I'm not extremely excited about a 23-year-old pitcher with a 5.5 K/9 rate (has stayed the same even in his "hot streak") in high-A ball unless he's got a Dallas Keuchel-esque grounder rate.

To have given up 1 ER or less in 9 of his last 10 starts he must be doing something right.

Im not sure though, all i can find is his recent success is in part to do with him working on his curve quite a bit earlier in the season and now hes been throwing more FBs, and his GO/AO #'s have been hanging around 1.00 all season.

Comment From Jeremy
Has the Brewers’ Jorge Lopez become a Top 100 prospect? Has pitched very well in AA, and seemed to have a pedigree.

12:23
Kiley McDaniel: Yep, his velo spiked, talked to a scout that saw him 92-95 recently. He’s in the top 50.

There's really not much question about it anymore. He may very well be the #3 prospect in the system. What he has done this year is outright dominate.
