Lagares may be the best defensive CF in the game, but he can't hit. His numbers would slightly jump in MKE, I guess.

It isn't that much fun that a centerpiece of the deal is in the process of recovering from TJ surgery. I guess that could be the only reason we're getting him if you want to be optimistic but still a pretty big gamble. At least it's a sign that they might be resigned to a multiple year rebuilding process.

It's a gamble. If Wheeler reaches his potential he could be a top of the rotation kind of guy, which obviously makes this a good deal. The main reason I like it is that is shows we might not be thinking about trying to contend next year which would be a step in the right direction.
