So not only does Nelson throw a relatively flat ball, but his hold is terrible too. Both runners on the stolen bases this inning were over half way to second by the time Nelson released the ball.

Great.

Braun just doesn't look like the same guy anymore. I'm done holding out hope he'll be anything more than what he is now.

Yeah, the old Braun ... or should I say the young Braun is gone ... of course, he had a couple warning track shots tonight in his first 2 at-bats ... I actually have some hope for him, yet.

Well, that Marte shot knocks us out. He cracked that one very good ... yikes!

We should just start calling him Jon Brockton.

John Brockington? Didn't he lose it rather quickly when he was on the Packers?

I think the Brewers are in for a tough season ... unless we do some major shakeups, soon.

Does the ump think that Maldonado is pint-sized? That 3rd strike was low!

Well, the 2-5 hitters were 1-16 tonight ... need to shake up the lineup some or shake up the leadership some.

If you shake up the lineup, but those same guys go 1-16, the team still won't score many runs.

FWIW, not poking fun at you, but so often when an offense is struggling to score runs, lots of fans scream to change around the lineup or batting order. In the grand scheme of things though, unless the main guys like Lucroy, Braun, and Ramirez start to consistently hit well, no changing of the lineup will accomplish anything.

I'm pretty certain that Lucroy will start hitting well pretty soon. Ramirez though is old and he may simply have finally hit the age brick wall. As for Braun, i have absolutely zero clue on what to expect of him for the rest of this season and the following few years after that. Clearly the days of him being special are over, but are the days of him even being just a .800ish OPS hitter over? I don't know, but it's scary to think that could be the case given the money owed to him.
