Royals home and home series

Game one Gomez out with leg tightness.

Pre-series prediction Lohse gives up 5 by the 5th.

Again, I ask why they didn't shuffle the rotation. Maybe most GMs can see through why a pitcher got shelled and their xFIP/FIP vs. ERA, but aesthetically, I'd rather not have Lohse/Garza slotted for Colorado at the end of the week to puff their numbers up even more. Very solid chance that both of those guys give up 6+ ER and we're trying to market trade chips that have 6.5 ERAs.

Lohse may be beyond repair - but I think Saturday in Colorado will be the nail in the coffin.

Something has to happen with Lohse. The Pittsburgh start was a good sign. Some value has to be restored or were just going to end up being stuck with him

Yeah, but value is not going to be restored in Coors field at the end of the week. He's a fly ball pitcher. You never know, but he probably doesn't make it out of the 2nd inning in that game since he's not missing many bats. Shuffle the rotation so he's @KC (decent pitcher's park) and at home against the Mets early next week. Do some window-dressing on his stats.

I completely agree. However they seem to not agree.

Doesn't matter where Lohse pitches. He's trash.

Wouldn't by the 5th mean before the 5th? He gave up the the fifth run in the 5th. Close but no cigar. 8-)

On an unrelated note, whatever happened to WEFFPIM? He hasn't been around for a while.

He's a fancy pants guy who lives in North Carolina now so he's probably busy/can't follow the team as closely as he used to. Don't worry though, he's still optimistic.

I guess we're a little way from being World Series caliber.

Perfect timing on the beatdown too, considering we were on the up swing a bit.
