He needed to develop his changeup and for some reason, the Brewers never made him. He had a decent one in Wisconsin but only threw it maybe 3 times a game. If they had made him throw it 15-20 times a game, regardless of results, he'd probably be much better now.

The Brewers never made him? Just because the results were not there, doesn't mean they didn't try.

If they did try, they would have made him throw more changeups. It's bad development by the organization, something that was consistent with especially pitchers under Reid Nichols.

Agree with Twirly and thats why Nichols is gone. No clue how he kept his job so long.

Loney released. If he's super cheap why not take a look and let him rehab his stock.

Preview of the Opening Day lineup

I don't think I like it. I guess if they insist on having Santana lead off I don't mind hitting the pitcher 8th. I know we don't really have a good option at leadoff but I'd rather see something like:

Villar
Lucroy
Braun
Santana
Carter
Gennett(really shouldn't be starting against a LHP)
Hill
Broxton
Peralta

Yeah if they plan on hitting Villar up in the order I,d rather see him hit leadoff with luc 2 santana 3 and Braun 4. I also doubt scooter will be able to hit lefties but I have no issue with them letting him try the first month or so of the season. Since winning isn't the goal I'd try a lot of crazy lineups and combos all year long.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

LOL at our team. It's going to be a rough year. Going to have to wait a few for the fruits from it to bear.
