Up 3-0. Nelson hasn't been bad. Carter is impressing this season.

Locke out after 4.2 IP, Brewers somehow managed to score only 3 runs off 5 hits and 7 walks. That seems tough to do.

I enjoy beating up on the Pirates. Don't hate them as much as St Louis but it's close.

Jimmy Nelson always seems to have great outings crumble in the 6th or 7th inning.

Braun saved the rest of the guys who were absolutely pathetic with RISP tonight.

Nice to see the old Braun tonight carrying the offense.

I still hate the Cards first, then Cubs, then Reds, the Pirates.

Nelson looks not so bad.

Braun, if he can stay relatively injury free will get them a good return no doubt about it.

Veteran slugger for the pennant run on a relatively team friendly deal (not really but that's how you sell it). Sold!

Team might, I mean MIGHT, be better than I originally thought. But it's a long season. And it's the Pirates. The Brewers own them. The Pirates are the Brewer's little *****.

Wonder whos roster spot Davies will take? Freeman has stunk so maybe him but with the short outings by the starters and how bad Broxton has looked at the plate I wonder if he gets the ax and they opt for an extra arm for now.
