Richards, Heaney and Skaggs is the beginning of a quality rotation. They are/were all hurt though. Only Skaggs has recently come back but Heaney and Richards will probably miss all of next year, so help isn't exactly on the horizon. Trout is their only really good hitter and after that they have Pujols, Escobar and Calhoun as decent hitters and then a bunch of ****.

So yeah, it might just be best to trade Trout but then you take a gigantic PR hit for trading the best player in the game before he even reached his prime because you're so poorly run you really had no other choice. Tough position to be in.

This has to be the best thing you could possibly read regarding moving up the reverse standings...

"Junior Guerra (elbow) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Guerra was scratched from Tuesday's scheduled start due to a sore elbow and now he'll receive some extended rest. The timetable for his return is unclear. Wily Peralta is expected to take his place in the rotation Tuesday against the Braves. Aug 8 - 4:46 PM

Who was it that predicted he would have problems because he was pitching at sustained high effort for too long? Take a bow.

All the bad teams keep losing. Seems every day I check, at most 2 or 3 of the teams below the Brewers won their game the day before. And it's a different 2 or 3 teams every time so the Brewers don't gain ground on anyone.

Don't worry, it will work out in the end!

Arizona: 10 against SD, 4 against Atlanta, 3 against Cin
San Diego: 10 against Ari, 3 against Atlanta
Cincinnati: 6 against us, 3 against Angels, 3 against Ari
Angels: 3 against Cin, 6 against Oak
Oak: 6 agianst Angels

We have that 5th spot locked down, and with a little luck, I feel like we can get top 3.

The 9th pick and 2nd pick are separated by 3 games. Going to be a tight race down the stretch.

I say we just have Garza, Anderson and Nelson continually pitch on 3 days rest. Should make up some ground in no time.

Unfortunately, we have a 10 game homestand with a 4 spot against the Pirates. Let's hope Colorado stays hot, the Cardinals continue their dominance and we split with Pittsburgh.

Colorado hasn't been hot for a while. They have won 4 of 5 but prior to that lost 8 of 9 including getting swept by the Phillies.

11.5 out of WC boys! Just trying to figure what pitcher I want in the playoff game. 36 games to decide though.
