Glowing scouting report from the same guy.

Starting to think my prediction will look less foolish.

I think youre over shooting it a bit with the top 10 stuff but its certainly not out of the realm of possibility he doesnt make top 75 come mid season re-ranks. The highest jump from non ranked to ranked was our very own Isan Diaz in pipeline's rankings and hes firmly at 65 and quite frankly he had a little more hype. Quite a few of us have been all over Erceg's hype train since he destroyed Helena and then Appleton but not really a ton was generated nationally (outside of the recent Pleskoff and Kusiolek stuff). It'll be interesting after the Rule 4 where these guys re-rank if they continue to perform.

Dubon also could be on that list of high risers into that top 100 status.

He's gonna have to have a big year. But my comparison is Wil Meyers. He was a 3rd round pick that exploded with a couple monster seasons and eventually became baseball's best prospect. I think Erceg's got that kind of bat.

I like the Kyle Seagar comp myself. Ive seen some Arenado comps thrown out there but I dont think he has that kind of glove. Then again i looked up Arenado's scouting from pipeline and it reads a lot like Erceg's. Either way he surely is a massive prospect in my eyes. Has been since he destroyed two levels as a recent draftee.

Turn on game. Hear Bill doing PBP with Augustine doing color. Immediately turn off TV.

I already forgot the Brewers started spring training. Anything exciting going on?

Quite a few guys completely destroying ST. Jesus Aguilar a recent waiver claim has been ultra impressive besides some of the other top prospects.

With, as of today, the future infield looking like Erceg-Arcia-Diaz at 3B-SS-2B, who do we think ends up at 1B? Is that player currently in the organization?

Hoping one of Nottingham or Feliciano can take over as the sure-fire future catcher.

Overall, the offense looks to be really set up long-term. Hoping we can land a front-line starter in this next draft.

Fangraphs's Top 100 Prospects

16 - Brinson
20 - Ray
57 - Ortiz
58 - Diaz
59 - Hader
80 - Woodruff
84 - Erceg

On consideration: Diplan

Seven guys in the top 100. Crazy.

Aguilar on base in all 3 PAs today and slashing .440/.500/.840 now. Obviously not a good idea to read too far into a couple dozen spring training at bats, but with Aguilar out of options and Thames looking pretty meh, you've gotta think he's playing his way into a roster spot

And a few other guys who could feasibly be on there and have shown up on other top 100 lists with Diplan/Clark/Dubon/Phillips/Bickford.

So Brewers are up 24-1 right now on Seattle.

Glad to see Broxton putting up good numbers in spring. If that translates the OF could be kind of intriguing with him, Braun, and Santanta. Hopefully Santana can stay on the field this year.

At least offensively it looks like Bandy is having the best camp of the catchers.

Be nice if Thames got it going a bit.

It's a shame you just can't chuck up all those kids into the big league and let them have at it. Would honestly make the season far more watchable.

Maybe I'm making this too simplistic and/or over rating the talent but if the pitching is at the very least middle of the pack I kind of think this team may be alright if guys stay healthy. I like the OF of Braun, Broxton, Santana. Arcia/Villar up the middle could be real good. Shaw is intriguing at 3B. 1B and C are concerns. Perez is a good super sub. Defensively should be petty strong in most all positions. Am I being too optimistic?

The issue is the pitching could be a huge concern.

Braun really doesn't like spring training.

So Jesus Aguilar is making this team right? Dude has been mashing this spring.
