From Perez? Numbers aren't in favor of that happening. Just bad execution on a bunt.

The odds of at least one run scoring with a runner on second and 0 outs is 61.4%. The odds of at least one run scoring with a runner on third and 1 out is 66.0%. So you better be damn sure that the guy you have up there is an incredible bunter if you're willing to risk a failed bunt for a measly 4.6%.

Also worth mentioning that the average run expectancy with a runner on second and 0 outs is 1.100, and the average run expectancy with a runner on third and 1 out is 0.950. In any situation where you're not just looking for just one run, bunting a runner from second to third with no outs is incredibly, incredibly dumb. You're willingly putting yourself in a worse situation by doing something that doesn't even have a 100% success rate.

Fair enough.

JFC, at giving up multiple hits to the pitcher on 2 strike counts.

What a BS inning. 2 strike bloop hit from the pitcher, 5 pitch walk, bunt single, seeing eye grounder up the middle to score 2, and still nobody out. **** this

Given up so many garbage hits for rbi's in the last week. Just when we had a bloop go our way too.

Not a single hard hit ball in this inning, this is nonsense.

Like 5 bloop hits for the Phillies last inning so of course Santana rips a rocket right at the 3rd baseman for an easy double play.

Washington pitching matchups. Edwin Jackson v Davies, Nelson v Gio, Garza v Max.

Somehow it wouldn't shock me if we take that series
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I write one positive post about this team and they straight **** the bed for two consecutive series. Oh well, reverting to the mean of what they are. Like others here, I sincerely hope they stand pat and don't chase the fool's gold that is the first half of their season.

Game 1 definitely a must win. Edwin Jackson is garbage.
We have always been able to hit Gio, so there's that?
Scherzer... I'll pencil in for 14 K.

We somehow beat Scherzer twice last year. Actually kind of pissed me off. Took my cousin mini golfing because she had never done it and was really enthusiastic about trying it. Get back to the car and the Brewers are leading like 5-2 or something and my immediate thought was **** this ****.

I'll take 14 K's. Seems like a reasonable number, especially considering it would've been 18 with Broxton in the lineup. Just hope the 3 hits we get off Scherzer are all homers.
