The odds of at least one run scoring with a runner on second and 0 outs is 61.4%. The odds of at least one run scoring with a runner on third and 1 out is 66.0%. So you better be damn sure that the guy you have up there is an incredible bunter if you're willing to risk a failed bunt for a measly 4.6%.
Also worth mentioning that the average run expectancy with a runner on second and 0 outs is 1.100, and the average run expectancy with a runner on third and 1 out is 0.950. In any situation where you're not just looking for just one run, bunting a runner from second to third with no outs is incredibly, incredibly dumb. You're willingly putting yourself in a worse situation by doing something that doesn't even have a 100% success rate.
