Series Thread: Cubs @ Brewers

Post#1 » by Turk Nowitzki » Sat Jul 29, 2017 1:04 am

leadoff man on 2nd:

-Heyward robs Braun of a HR, Santana does not feel like tagging up for some reason only known to him
-Shaw strikes out on absurd strike zone from home plate ump
-Aguilar hits a bullet right at the LF of course

I'm already pissed off.

On the bright side, you beat my series thread by about 10 seconds.

This is why Heyward is still kind of good people.

Is Brinson our best prospect since Braun?

What is this strike zone that the ump is giving Quintana?

Santana is turning into a legitimately a good hitter. That was a great take.

Arcia was very highly rated, but offensive production wise in the minors, I'd say yes. At least that I can think of.

This game is going to turn on one hit and we're going to look back and wonder how we only scored 2 in the first 4 innings.

Did Schroeder just basically call Quintana one of the 'great ones'?

Come on.

Yeah its either him or Arcia. Both are cornerstone type of players. At the end of the day though Brinson still isnt the best pure hit tool we have in our system. Hiura has reached base in every single pro game to date. He's hitting .421 as a pro with a 1.204 OPS.

Methinks they are gonna need more that 2 runs tonight.

Well, yea. I didn't say hit tool. Hiura's gonna be an average 2B at best, Bronson's a legit plus CF with power and speed. They're not close as prospects, and I say that thinking Hiura could be a solid hitter in Milwaukee right now.

Not sure if I let Suter go again but also don't want to see the bullpen.

We'll see what happens over the next couple years but yes absolutely Brinson is a five tool guy. Hiura literally is two months out of college. He has future batting champ level hit tool. Maybe one of the highest in baseball. The high impact players we have in our system is insane but yes by pure OFP Brinson is slightly ahead of Arcia.

The Cubs should lose this series on purpose to force the Brewers into selling prospects.
