...when they hit homers.

So incredibly frustrating to watch when they don't.

Not a good time for dumpster fire Davies.

Makes sense...pinch hit with your worst batter on the bench with two on and nobody out. Bandy?! Really?! Should have just sent up Davies to hit.

Every loss feels like a dagger with how the Cubs and Rockies are playing.

I hear you. Keep in mind, the Rockies are playing the Padres at home. And, also keep in mind each and every time I've felt the Brewers were completely out of it (like I do right now) they've utterly shocked me and somehow become relevant within a week's time. Maybe that's the case. I really don't think it is...but I won't deny the possibility.

We almost have to be perfect now and hope they slip up. Lot to ask for.

If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Swept them last time, another one and they're right there. Doing work in that series is what the season is going to primarily come down to. Are playing well, but left themselves little margin for error with that midseason swoon.

Woodruff has shown enough that they should feel comfortable penciling him in for a rotation spot from the get go next year

Winning series and losing ground is tough to take.

For real. The Brewers seem to be doing what they need to do (at least to the extent of what can be expected), yet the teams ahead of them just won't lose. Simply winning series is not gonna be enough anymore; the Brewers need to put together a 6 or 7 game winning streak immediately. It's their only hope.

Yeah they aren't catching Arizona, only hope is to sweep the Cubs again.... and go like 7-2 or 6-3 in the other 9 games.

Would be nice if the Cubs had a series against Colorado right about now..

Yeah, the consensus around the water cooler at work was we just need to keep winning series and get to 10 over. Now that might not be good enough. Fun race though. Nobody is backing into the playoffs.

They really do have some awesome chemistry, Broxton, Pina, Perez, Phillips seem right at the core of it. Hernan might be my favorite Brewer right now.
