This team just can't do the little things needed to win games like this.

They're punching above their weight. This is a tough series of games.

The last time they made a WC push, they had a series like this in Chicago that seemed to end their playoff hopes. But they crawled back and made it on the last day. It'll probably come down to that final series against St. Louis.

These last 3 games almost remind me of an extended version of 14 NFC Championship. Everything that could go wrong has.

Colorado isn't going to lose forever.

True, but they don't have to. They just have to lose more than us.

True, but they don't have to. They just have to lose more than us.
And to add, we've just suffered two crushing losses to the team with the best record in the NL in the second half. They've been struggling against the Giants and Padres.

Cardinals are ahead of us. It's not just about the Rockies anymore.

This time of year, it takes the little things to win. The Brewers offense has been unable to do the little things all season long, so it should come as no surprise that they can't do them now. Somehow, they've made it this far despite this, but the ineptitude is magnified this time of year. Good teams win the last three games. The Brewers just aren't there yet. The Cubs are.

I don't wanna say that all this team cares about is hitting homers. But the truth is, that really IS the only way they can score runs. Hopefully we hit 6 tomorrow.

If we're gonna make it, it likely involves winning 2 or 3 over the Cards at the end. It's not completely irrelevant, but they aren't a major factor (to the Brewers) because of that.

It's weird because baseball gets labeled boring, but if your team is in a playoff chase or in the playoffs, baseball has it's own way of having excruciating tension, i think even more so than football.

When a baseball game is close, every pitch brings it own degree of tension because something as basic as a 2-1 pitch turning into either 2-2 vs 3-1 can end up being important. I love baseball and the Brewers, but man these last three games have been such torture on my nerves and acid reflux.

As much as that tension is what makes sports such unique entertainment, it's easier to stomach losing say 7-2 than the way each of these last three games went.

Its probably over at this point but still a successful season in terms of wins. Also got to see what we have in Hader, Santana, Woodruff, Shaw, and so on. Like mentioned before were about a year early on this. DS has all the ammo in the world now to make the roster complete. The Jimmy injury hurts really hard. Hopefully we can get creative this offseason and fortify one starter and 2nd base.

I don't think I can take another close game. Just for my health, I'd take a blow out either way.
