Must be a little of no shows. Announced attendance is over 30k but it looks like far less

Any theories as to why the attendance is so low, considering the team is playing meaningful baseball with only 5 games remaining? It seems kinda odd, especially for a fan base that always seems to show up when the team is good. It just feels a lot different than the last two playoff runs. The only thing I can think of, is that maybe people just aren't buying in yet? Is it that the team just snuck up on its own fans? This WAS a rebuild year, after all, and we're all surprised that the playoffs are even still a possibility, at this point. If anything, I'd say it's just due to the lack of "hype" surrounding this year's squad. In '08 we had CC, and in '11 we had the best record in the league - those were both easy things to get behind. This year's team, however, is still being marketed as "the future", and not the present, even though the future might be now. No, the Brewers probably shouldn't be contending this year, but yet here they are. And if Brewers fans know anything, it's that playoff opportunities don't come around too often. Games in late September usually don't matter for us, so I'm just gonna enjoy it while it lasts.

The entire terrace level is sold out for tonight's game, will be interesting to see what it actually looks like.

Fan appreciation usually draws pretty well. They give away a lot of stuff.

had a chance to win the car a few years back. Had the seat number, seat row, but alas, not the section.

Sure the Cubs series was a buzzkill, losing 3 of 4. Week night, school, etc obviously factor in since playoff chances are getting slimmer. But yeah, I don't think many have completely bought in so probably not as emotionally invested to go. It's a fun but not as flashy team as say the late 2000s/early 2010s. Those would be my guesses.
For me it's distance and the unpredictability of a baseball game. It could go extras, be 4 hours long, etc which sucks during week when have almost a 2 hour drive back from Miller Park in that cluster of a parking lot.

Mon-Wed series against the Reds in 2008 with an 83-63 record at the start of the series.
30,867
30,312
30,124
Tue-Thu series against the Pirates with an 85-71 record at the start of the series right in the middle of the WC chase.
36,612
31,164
40,102 (might have been fan appreciation because the last home series was against the Cubs)

The Reds are the worst bad team for us to be playing right now. We aren't going to win our usual low scoring games against them so if the offensive no-shows then we're screwed.
