So excite for something new. Yelich should be fun to watch. Arcia should take a step forward. I'm preparing for a decent regression so if my expectations are in check how can I lose as a fan?

It's kind of funny first day for pitchers and catchers and it rains here for like only the third time since August. LOL

I expect some regression but man it's hard not to be excited for this team. Especially if they add another starting pitcher.

Wade Miley - $2.5m guaranteed on a minor league deal. Obvious meh but he has had stretches so I’ll trust their judgment.

Not a terrible signing, i mean, Miley may have better chance than Gallardo to make the team.
Will see, expect the brewers, i think the entire league does, to see the brewers sign one of the better remaining FA's, or to pull off a trade, theres no way you can go into the season with Santana, Braun, on the team.

Not really anything to get worked up over, but kind of like the Tommy Milone signing last year, if he ends up pitching innings in the major leagues that means we are in trouble. He's been pretty bad for like 5 years, I can't believe he's thrown as many big league innings as he has over that time period.

Yes you can

Just to be clear, it is not guaranteed, he has to make the team. Seems like a similar contract to Gallardo except Gallardo is on the 40 man right now. Doubt both make the team, maybe not even one.

No, not really. Not unless you are willing to massively sacrifice AB's for one of Braun/Santana. Braun should not play every day at 1B when Thames hits RHP better.

If Thames wasn't here and you wanted to play Braun at 1B full-time, it could maybe work. But Braun/Santana are both every day guys (outside of injuries for Braun) and both won't play every day without another move. It's better to maximize the trade value of Santana if possible.

Yes really...If i cant find a suitable trade for Santana, he does have a place in this lineup.

Cain and Yelich will play in about 155 games
Braun will play in about 130 games

CF - Cain(155) / Phillips (7)
RF - Yelich (155) / Santana (7)
LF - Braun (70) / Santana (92)
1B - Braun (50) / Thames (112)
DH - Braun (10)

Its not optimal, but can work

Ah, I read the series of tweets wrong. That makes it much better.

Santana 99 total games after his year last year? LOL, no.

That's not even factoring in Phillips, they want him to get more than 7 starts I'm sure.

If there isn't a trade, someone who should be getting more AB won't be, outside of a big injury. There is absolutely no way around it.

Trust me...I want a trade to happen, but not making a trade just to make a trade.

Ideally, i want

CF - Cain(155) / Phillips (7)
RF - Yelich (155) / Phillips (7)
LF - Braun (100) / Phillips (30) / Thames (32)
1B - Braun (30) / Thames (100) / Aguilar (32)
DH - Braun (5) / Aguilar (5)

There is no way Santana will or should get only 99 starts if he's on this roster. That's what I'm saying. If he's kept, Thames at minimum has to go.

He couldn't play 1B every day anyway, he's out of lineup too much with injury. I feel like Braun should be treated like a part time player. His health is too unreliable.

HighHeat19 makes a twitter so he can be heard or something. Says if the Brewers dont sign Cobb he will delete the twitter hes had for like 3 days. Sounds like hes convinced we sign Cobb. That dude feeds off this attention

Unfortunate behavior. Sounds like the guy needs to be heard because he wasn't as a kid.

*Edit - So signing Cobb would cost the Crew a second or third round pick?

Well I thought the Brewers lost their Competitive Balance B pick with the Cain signing because that is their third highest pick but the MLB official site has them losing their 3rd round pick instead which would be better for the Brewers. That would mean the Brewers would be without their 3rd and 4th round pick instead of Competitive Balance B and 3rd round pick.
