Depends on your league/roster size, but I dumped him. I'm not going to want to use a non-DL roster spot on a guy for probably 2-3 months with the hope that maybe he's back and maybe he's reinstalled as the closer.

So after the first 3 weeks of the year I was in first in the roto keeper league I've posted about. I had Osuna get suspended and dropped him, so that was a big hit. I am currently in 7th place now with 58.5 points and the guy in first has 107. This was supposed to be a going for it year, but my team has been bad the last month I am absolutely plummeting. I was wondering if any of you guys had any opinion on whether you'd sell and try to focus on next year or my team can't be this bad and you would continue going for it this year?

I would do it without question. Machado has 3rd and short and Odorizzi while not spectacular doesnt often hurt you too much. Especially in the AL central where there arent a ton of good teams. Sanchez is having a down year and Reyes is always an injury concern. He also has in division teams who are some of the top offenses in baseball.

Reyes is already back on the DL so you better accept it in a hurry. Depends on keeper values on your timeline for competing as well.

Would you trade Trevor Bauer for Kris Bryant and Greinke?

By comparison in my league to show you the points
Bauer has 370 points in 19 starts
Grienke has 268 points in 19 starts

I would have to bench one of the following players - Nimmo / Pederson / Thames

Without digging into it I'd say if you're getting Bryant and Greinke I would do it. By the end of the year you have to figure Bryant should be the best player in the trade.

My main concern is Bauer - If he continues to pitch this good, he is a top 10 SP

True, but Greinke has been pretty good too. What's more likely: that Bryant has a good second half, Greinke remains solid, and Bauer regresses or Bauer is actually one of the best pitchers in baseball now and Bryant keeps underachieving? I think the first scenario is more likely.

Yeah, I agree with that, though I'm also on board with Bauer staying this good.

Bryant is a top 10 bat and you've got a top 30 or whatever pitcher in Greinke.

That's for a top 10ish pitcher in Bauer.

So I'd make the trade.

If thats a keeper league I take that in a millisecond. Bauer is good but having a career year, his value may never be higher. I love his strikeout numbers and his walk numbers continue to get better. Bauer could easily keep getting better. I guess it really comes down to how good your starting pitching is already. If you have another ace type then yeah make this deal, if Grienke would be your ace, maybe think about it more.

I think Bauer is here to stay but I agree that I make the deal. Bauer has been dominant since he started throwing his curveball more often. It's not a BABIP fluke or anything.

Is that like an 8 team league or did that guy draft nothing but pitchers?

12 team League and the league has been going on for like 10 years

We can keep 8 pitchers / 13 hitters / 12 minor league players each year.

Did you end up unloading Bauer before the stress fracture?
