Are the Brewers playing baseball or musical chairs? Does this mean Freddy Peralta going to be traded?

Freddy wouldn't have a start before the All-Star break so there is no need for him. Stearns is working the options very well this season.

Yeah we need max pitchers for the upcoming 5 games/4 days series.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Only way I trade Peralta to the Orioles is if we get a guy like Givens back. Would Machado and Givens for Peralta and Phillips be good, bad, indifferent? Dunno if the O's would even take that, and honestly idk if I would either

Just a thought

rarely see three team deals, but

Brewers get: Machado/Zimmermann
O's get - Castellanos/Ortiz
Tigers get: Santana or Phillips/Diplan

Brewers give less value for taking on Zimmermann contract

O's get really good OF player, plus pitching prospect

Tigers get out of Zimmermann contract plus pick up some nice pieces

I'm all for eating salary on a player - and Zimmermann is getting back to being good...but that's way too much money for the Brewers to take on. Don't see it happening. We're not taking on $50+ million dollars over 2.5 years for 3 months of Machado, plus Machado's $7 million or whatever remaining. Zimmermann is alright but I'd say he would still barely fit into our rotation - if that.

I'm not sure why the O's would want Castellanos - yes, people are saying they want MLB players but Castellanos is a free agent after next year. That's not going to help a rebuild. The Orioles want MLB guys that'll be there for 5+ years.

At this point, the Tigers can either get something for Zimmermann by eating some of the $ or they'll just let that contract rot. No reason to give up value to get rid of him unless the team is in a financial crisis.

So, no.

Supposedly the Orioles won't trade Machado until after the ASG and a trade will likely be announced Wednesday.

They want that DC/Baltimore publicity. It would be hilarious (only hilarious if the trade in place was for a team other than the Brewers) if he broke his leg on Sunday.

How much would a guy like Witt Merrifield cost? Would say phillps and another minor piece get that done? I'm bad a gauging trade value.

Merrifield is a little bit of a late bloomer and he's having a career year so his price will likely never be higher considering he still has three and a half seasons of control I believe. Pretty sure it would take something like Luis Ortiz, Brett Phillips and maybe a low-level guy lottery ticket. I'm pretty sure the luster on Brett Phillips has wore off a little bit especially since he's struggling in Colorado Springs. That said I'd absolutely make that trade

Matt Duffy would be an interesting trade target and he would likely not cost too much plus he has two and a half years of control. Wouldn't be a huge upgrade but would be a good bench guy who can play multiple positions, although he's only played 3rd this year, not sure on his D

I think most likely outcome is we trade for a non ace SP, and some MI help.
What is your guys opinion on someone like Fulmer, who is reportedly on the block, and has a few years left of control Won't cost as much as Degrom, obv, and with Nelson back in Sep, will actually have legit SP's for the late push. But won;t be going "all in". I would be willing to part with Woodruff, phillips in a package

Eh, I doubt we go after a starter that's not an ace. We have like 9 of those guys in the rotation right now.
